The Terrorism Act 2000 (Video Recording with Sound of Interviews and Associated Code of Practice) Order 2012

Coming into force
This Order is made in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by paragraph 3(2)(b), (3) and (4)(b) and paragraph 4(4) of Schedule 8 to the Terrorism Act 2000 (“the Act”)1.

The Secretary of State:

(a)

has, in accordance with paragraph 4(2) of that Schedule, published a draft code of practice about the video recording with sound of interviews to which article 3 of this Order applies; considered representations made to her about it and, as thought appropriate, modified the draft accordingly;

(b)

has, in accordance with paragraph 4(3) of that Schedule laid a draft of the code of practice before Parliament.

In accordance with section 123(4) of the Act, a draft of this instrument has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.

Accordingly, the Secretary of State makes the following Order—
