Reckoning of service in SOCA44A

Subject to paragraph (2), where a member of a police force joined or rejoined that force having been employed by SOCA as a specified employee of SOCA and having left SOCA, then for the purposes of regulation 24, service in any SOCA grade shall be treated as if it were service in the corresponding rank in the police force the member joined or rejoined.

In this regulation, any reference to a SOCA grade corresponding to a rank in a police force is a reference to a grade of an employee of SOCA designated by the Secretary of State for the purposes of this regulation as the SOCA grade corresponding to the rank in question
