1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Order 2012 and comes into force on 1st September 2012.
(2) This Order applies to school teachers(1) in England and Wales.
(3) In this Order, “the Document” means the document entitled “School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document 2012 and Guidance on School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions” published on the website of the Department for Education.
School teachers are defined for these purposes in section 122(3)-(5) of the Education Act 2002.
