6. The Audit Commission Act 1998(1) is amended as follows.

1998 c.18. Schedule 2A was inserted by the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 and has been amended by the Health and Social Care Act 2008, the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008 (c.17), the Offender Management Act 2007 (Consequential Amendments) Order 2008, and the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008 (Registration of Local Authorities) Order 2010 (S.I 2010/844).

Explanatory Memorandum
Explanatory Memorandum sets out a brief statement of the purpose of a Statutory Instrument and provides information about its policy objective and policy implications. They aim to make the Statutory Instrument accessible to readers who are not legally qualified and accompany any Statutory Instrument or Draft Statutory Instrument laid before Parliament from June 2004 onwards.
