2. The Special Health Authorities(1) listed in the Schedule are designated as Special Health Authorities to which section 2(1) of the Health Service Commissioners Act 1993 (bodies subject to investigation by the Health Service Commissioner for England) applies.

Special Health Authorities are bodies corporate established under section 28 of the National Health Service Act 2006 (c. 41). Section 28 is amended by section 55(1) of, and paragraph 13 of Schedule 4 to, the Health and Social Care Act 2012 (c.7), with effect from a date to be appointed under that Act.
