A local planning authority which are a London borough council must make a request under section 24(4)(a) of the Act on the day they comply with regulation 19(a).

Where a request is made under section 24(4)(a) of the Act, the Mayor must send the opinion sought to the Secretary of State and the local planning authority within 6 weeks from the day on which the request is made.
