11. The amount of work that is carried out in the United Kingdom or elsewhere is determined—
(a)for the purposes of [F1regulations 3(6)(a)(i)(aa), 3(6)(b)(i)(aa), 4A(6)(a)(i), or 4A(6)(b)(i)] (principal photography), by reference to the number of days spent on the work;
(b)for the purposes of the rest of [F2regulations 3(6), 4(6) and 4A(6)] (where work carried out), by reference to the amount of expenditure on the work.
