2.  In this Order—

(a) “the new trunk roads” means the new highways which the Secretary of State proposes to construct referred to in article 2(2)(i) of The A46 Trunk Road (Newark to Widmerpool Improvement and Slip Roads) Order 2009(1);

(b) “the trunk road” means the Newark to Widmerpool Trunk Road (A46)

(c) “principal road” as a classification for a highway, means that the highway is a principal road for the purposes of enactments and instruments which refer to highways classified as principal roads and is also classified for the purpose of every other enactment and instrument which refers to highways classified by the Secretary of State; and

(d) “the plan” means the plan numbered HA10/MP/112 shown on two sheets and marked “The A46 Trunk Road (Newark to Widmerpool Improvement and Slip Roads) Margidunum Roundabout (Detrunking) Order 2013” signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at Department of Communities and Local Government-DfT Records Management Branch, Floor 13 (IMD), Ashdown House, St Leonards on Sea, Hastings, East Sussex TN37 7GA.
