Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1
The Treasury are designated1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 in relation to financial services.
The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred by—
a
section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972; and
b
sections 349(1)(b), 349(2), 349(3) and 428(3) of, and paragraphs 13(1)(b)(iii), 14(1)(b), 17(a), 17(b), 17(c), 18 and 22 of Schedule 3 to, the Financial Services and Markets Act 20003;
make the following Regulations:
