This regulation applies where—
a
an institution has been authorised in the United Kingdom and its parent undertaking is situated in another EEA State; or
b
a parent undertaking is situated in the United Kingdom, whose subsidiaries include institutions which have been authorised in another EEA State.

The appropriate regulator must disclose to a relevant competent authority and, where appropriate, the EEA consolidating supervisor, all relevant information which may allow or aid the exercise of supervision on a consolidated basis.
