In section 5(3) of the Police (Health and Safety) Act 1997 (payment of damages, compensation and fines out of certain funds)127—

a

in the definition of “the relevant authority”, for paragraph (b) substitute—

b

in relation to the chief constable of the Police Service of Scotland, the Scottish Police Authority, and

b

in the definition of “the relevant fund”—

i

in paragraph (a), after first “police”, insert “in England and Wales”;

ii

after that paragraph, insert—

aa

in relation to the chief constable of the Police Service of Scotland, money provided by the Scottish Police Authority, and

c

in the definition of “the responsible officer”—

i

in paragraph (a), after “police area”, insert “in England and Wales”; and

ii

after that paragraph insert—

aa

in relation to the Police Service of Scotland (including police cadets appointed under section 25 of the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Act 2012), the chief constable of that Service, and
