The Courts Act 200322 is amended as follows.

In Part 3 of Schedule 5 (collection of fines and other sums imposed on conviction: attachment of earnings orders and applications for benefit deductions), in paragraph 10(a) (meaning of relevant benefit) before “income support” insert “universal credit and”.

In paragraph 2(1)(a)(v) of Schedule 6 (discharge of fines by unpaid work), before “income support” insert “universal credit and”.
