The Petroleum (Consolidation) Regulations 2014

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 15(1), (2), (3)(a) and (c), (4), (6)(b) and (8), 18(2)(a), 43(2) and (4), 80(1) and 82(3)(a) of, and paragraphs 1(1), (2), (3) and (4), 3(1), 4, 9, 12 and 15(1) of Schedule 3 to, the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974(1) (“the 1974 Act”)—

(a)

for the purpose of giving effect without modifications to proposals submitted to him by the Health and Safety Executive under section 11(3)(2) of the 1974 Act, the Executive having consulted in accordance with section 50(3)(3) of that Act, and

(b)

it appearing to him that the repeal of the Acts and the provisions of the Act mentioned in Part 1 of Schedule 4, and modification of the provisions of the Acts and instrument mentioned in paragraphs 1 to 5 of Part 2 of Schedule 4, are expedient as set out in section 80(1) of the 1974 Act and after consulting such bodies which appeared to him to be appropriate in accordance with section 80(4)(4) of that Act.
