Financial Assistance Scheme Regulations 2005

17.

In regulation 13 of the Financial Assistance Scheme Regulations 200522 (insolvency events)—

(a)

in paragraph (4) for sub-paragraph (f) substitute—

“(f)

in relation to a registered society, where there is dissolution by consent of the members under section 119 of the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 (dissolution of society by an instrument of dissolution) or under section 67 of the Industrial and Provident Societies Act (Northern Ireland) 1969 (instrument of dissolution).”; and

(b)

in paragraph (6)—

(i)

after the definition of “public body” insert—

““registered society” means a society, other than a society registered as a credit union, which is—

(a)

a registered society within the meaning given by section 1(1) of the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 (meaning of “registered society”); or

(b)

a society registered or deemed to be registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act (Northern Ireland) 1969;”;

(ii)

in the definition of “relevant body” for sub-paragraph (g) substitute—

“(g)

a registered society.”.
