Citation, interpretation and commencement1.

(1)

These Regulations may be cited as the Care and Support (Personal Budget: Exclusion of Costs) Regulations 2014 and come into force immediately after section 26(4) of the Care Act comes fully into force.

(2)

In these Regulations—

“the Act” means the Care Act 2014;

“intermediate care and reablement support services” means care and support or support provided to an adult by a local authority2 under section 18, 19 or 20 of the Act which—

(a)

consists of a programme of care and support or support;

(b)

is for a specified period of time; and

(c)

has as its purpose the provision of assistance to an adult to enable the adult to maintain or regain the ability needed to live independently in their own home.
