9. In section 15A of the Social Security Administration Act 1992(1) (payment out of benefit of sums in respect of mortgage interest etc.)—
(a)in subsection (4), in paragraph (b) of the definition of “partner”, for “husband and wife or as if they were civil partners” substitute “if they were a married couple”; and
(b)omit subsection (4B).
1992 c.5; section 15A was inserted by the Social Security (Mortgage Interest Payments) Act 1992 (c.33), the Schedule, paragraph 1 and was, in relation to England and Wales, amended by S.I. 2014/560. Subsection 4B was inserted by the Civil Partnership Act 2004, Schedule 24, paragraph 57(3). There are other amendments to subsection 4 not relevant to this Order.
