7.—(1) [F1Subject to paragraph (3), a] certificate has effect, unless cancelled, for two years from the date on which it was issued, subject in the case of a replacement certificate to regulation 8(3).
(2) [F2Subject to paragraph (3), every] certificate must state the date on which it ceases to have effect.
[F3(3) If the relevant day falls —
(a)during the emergency period; or
(b)on or after 26th December 2019 but before the beginning of the emergency period,
the certificate will continue to have effect date for a period of 9 months beginning with the relevant day.
(4) For the purposes of paragraph (3), the relevant day is the day 3 months before the expiry of the period referred to in paragraph (1).]
