32.—(1) Paragraph 6 of Schedule 1 to the Welfare Reform Act 2007(1) (income-related allowance) is amended as follows.
(2) In sub-paragraph (5), for the definition of “couple” substitute—
““couple” means—
two people who are married to, or civil partners of, each other and are members of the same household; or
two people who are not married to, or civil partners of, each other but are living together as a married couple otherwise than in prescribed circumstances;”.
(3) Omit sub-paragraph (6).
2007 c. 5; paragraph 6 of Schedule 1 was amended by the Welfare Reform Act 2009 (c. 24), sections 5(2), 9(3)(b) and 58(1) and Schedule 7, and repealed by Part 1 of Schedule 14 to the Welfare Reform Act 2012. That repeal has been brought into force for certain purposes, but has yet to be brought into force for the remaining purposes.
