Coming into force
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 63(1) and (5) of, and paragraphs 1(2) and (3), and 2(1) and (2) of Schedule 7 to, the Environment Act 19951, makes the following Order.
In accordance with paragraph 2(3) of that Schedule, the Secretary of State has consulted the council for every principal area the whole or any part of which is comprised in Dartmoor National Park, Exmoor National Park, Lake District National Park, Northumberland National Park or North York Moors National Park.
Citation and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the National Park Authorities (England) (Amendment) Order 2014 and comes into force on 5th May 2014.
Amendment of the National Park Authorities (England) Order 19962

The National Park Authorities (England) Order 19962 is amended as follows.

For Part 1 of Schedule 1 (membership of National Park authorities), substitute the text set out in the Schedule to this Order.

In Part 2 of that Schedule—
a
in the entry relating to Dartmoor National Park Authority, for the number of members for Devon County Council, substitute “5”, and for the number of members for West Devon Borough Council, substitute “2”;
b
in the entry relating to Lake District National Park Authority, for the number of members for Cumbria County Council, substitute “5”, and for the number of members for South Lakeland District Council, substitute “2”; and
c
in the entry relating to North York Moors National Park Authority, for the number of members for North Yorkshire County Council, substitute “4”.
