Citation, commencement and application1.

These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Maternity Allowance) (Participating Wife or Civil Partner of Self-employed Earner) Regulations 2014.

They come into force on 1st April 2014.

Regulation 2 applies in relation to the payment of maternity allowance in cases where a woman’s expected week of confinement (within the meaning of section 35 of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 19924) begins on or after 27th July 2014.
