2.  In this Order—

“the Act of 1780” means the Act 20 Geo. III Cap. XXVII entitled “An Act for building a Bridge across the River Wye, between Whitney and Clifford, in the County of Hereford”,

“the bridge” means the Whitney-on-Wye bridge the construction of which was authorised by the Act of 1780,

“the bridge undertakers” means the undertakers for the time being for the building, supporting and maintaining of the bridge appointed by the Act of 1780, and

“passenger vehicle”, “goods vehicle”, “motor vehicle”, “motor cycle” and “maximum gross weight” have the same meanings as in regulation 3(2) of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986(1).
