The Secretary of State, being a Minister designated1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 in relation to energy and energy sources, makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by that section:

Citation and commencement1

These Regulations may be cited as the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2015 and come into force on 26th October 2015.

Amendments to the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme Regulations 20142

The Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme Regulations 20143 are amended as follows.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations, issued free of charge, amend Schedules 1, 2 and 4 to the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme Regulations 2014 to correct drafting errors. Those Regulations implement Article 8(4) to (6) of Directive 2012/27/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on energy efficiency4.

An impact assessment has not been prepared for these Regulations as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen. An Explanatory Memorandum is available alongside these Regulations on www.legislation.gov.uk.
