M91983 c.20. Section 142 of the Mental Health Act 1983 was repealed by section 67 of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (c.9). See paragraph 29 of Schedule 6 to the Mental Capacity Act 2005 which enables payments made under section 142 before the date on which that provision was repealed to continue.
