This is the sixth Commencement Order under the Children and Families Act 2014 (c.6).
Article 2 commences section 70(1) to the extent that it is not already in force, sections 70(2) to 75 (detained persons), section 96 (Young carers), section 97 (Parent carers), section 105 (Disqualification from carrying on, or being employed in, a children’s home) and paragraphs 55 to 58 of Schedule 3(Special Educational Needs: Consequential Amendments) on 1st April 2015.
Article 3 commences sections 91 to 95 (Tobacco, nicotine products and smoking) on 1st October 2015 to the extent those sections are not already in force.
Certain provisions came into force on the passing of the Children and Families Act 2014. Provisions commenced by previous Commencement Orders are noted below.
