Information on operations conducted outside of the European Union F1, Great Britain and external waters34.

(1)

A UK-registered company conducting, itself or through a subsidiary, offshore oil and gas operations outside the European Union F2, Great Britain and external waters as a licensee, operator or well operator must report to the competent authority, on request, the circumstances of any major accident in which it or its subsidiary has been involved.

The details of the information to go in the report must be specified by the competent authority in the request.

In paragraph (1)—

subsidiary” has the meaning given in section 1159 of the Companies Act 2006 M1;

UK-registered company” has the meaning given in section 1158 of the Companies Act 2006.
