When an exemption is granted to a ship in accordance with the relevant regulations applicable to the ship, an Exemption Certificate shall be issued in addition to any Certificate issued under regulation 13 F1, 13A F2, 13B F3, 13C, 13D or 14.

The period of validity of an Exemption Certificate shall not be longer than the period of validity of the certificate to which it refers.

An Exemption Certificate shall be subject to the same extension and other provisions as the certificate to which it refers.
