Specified Class B drugs

2.  The following substances and products are specified Class B drugs(1) under section 70(1) of the Criminal Justice and Court Services Act 2000:

(a)cannabis and cannabis resin(2), and

(b)amphetamine, its salts and any preparation or other product containing amphetamine or its salts.

Class B drug is defined in section 70(1) of the Criminal Justice and Court Services Act 2000 to have the same meaning as in the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (c. 38).

(2)

Cannabis and cannabis resin were reclassified by S.I. 2008/3130 from Class C to Class B drugs under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
