8. In regulation 2(2) (modification of the application of section 44(5) of the Contributions and Benefits Act) of the Social Security (Contracting-out and Qualifying Earnings Factor) Regulations 1996(1)—
(a)for “a tax week is” substitute “a tax week was”; and
(b)in both places where it occurs, after “sections 41” insert “(as it had effect before the second abolition date)”.
