This Part applies to the performance by a local authority of its duty under section 77(1) of the Act insofar as that duty relates to water supplies which are not private supplies.

In this Part, “specified relevant supplier” in relation to a local authority means—
a
a water undertaker any of whose water supply zones includes an area which is situated within the area of that authority;
b
a F1water supply licensee which uses any such water supply zones for the purposes of supplying water to consumers.
