These Regulations may be cited as the Neighbourhood Planning (General) and Development Management Procedure (Amendment) Regulations 2016 and come into force on 1st October 2016 (“the commencement date”).

These Regulations apply in relation to England only.

In these Regulations—

• “the 1990 Act” means the Town and Country Planning Act 1990;

• “the 2012 Regulations” means the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 20123;

• “the 2015 Order” means the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015 Order4; and

• “area application”, “neighbourhood forum application”, “order proposal” and “plan proposal” have the meaning given by regulation 3 of the 2012 Regulations.
