The Marriage of Same Sex Couples (Registration of Buildings and Appointment of Authorised Persons) Regulations 201458 are amended as follows.

In regulation 2 (interpretation), before the entry for “registered building” insert—
“appropriate fee” means the fee payable by virtue of regulations made under section 71A of the Marriage Act 1949;

For regulation 4(2)(d) (application for registration of a building) substitute—

pay the appropriate fee to the superintendent registrar.

For regulation 10(2)(b) (modification of procedure for joint applications under section 41 and section 43A), substitute—
b
the applicant must pay the fee payable by virtue of regulations made under section 71A of the Act for a joint application made under section 41(1) and 43A of the Act, but the fee under regulation 4(2)(d) does not apply.

The Marriage of Same Sex Couples (Conversion of Civil Partnership) Regulations 2014 are amended as follows.

In regulation 2 (interpretation), before the entry for “authorised person” insert—
“appropriate fee” means the fee set out in the Registration of Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships (Fees) Regulations 2016;

For regulation 6(1)(d) (standard procedure for conversion) substitute—

the parties must pay the appropriate fee to the superintendent registrar.

For regulation 7(3)(e) (procedure for housebound persons) substitute—

the parties must pay the appropriate fee to the superintendent registrar.

For regulation 8(3)(e) (procedure for detained persons) substitute—

the parties must pay the appropriate fee to the superintendent registrar.

The fee for a conversion on secular premises referred to in paragraph (2)(a) and (3)—

is payable to the superintendent registrar of the registration district in which the conversion is to take place; and

is of an amount to be determined by the authority as reasonably representing all the costs to it of providing a superintendent registrar to attend at the conversion.
