Representation of the People (Scotland) Regulations 2001 (S.I. 2001/497)

34.—(1) The Representation of the People (Scotland) Regulations 2001 are amended as follows.

(2) In the following provisions, for “Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster” substitute “Minister for the Cabinet Office”—

(a) the definition of “digital service” in regulation 3(1) (interpretation)(1);

(b) regulation 26(6), (9) and (11) (applications for registration)(2);

(c) regulation 26A(3) (application for alteration of name on register)(3);

(d) regulation 29ZA(1), (2) and (4) to (6) (verification of information provided in application)(4);

(e) regulation 29ZB(7) (processing of information provided in connection with application)(5);

(f) regulation 29(2AF)(b) (procedure for determining applications for registration and objections without a hearing)(6);

(g) regulation 32ZA(2)(b) (annual canvass)(7);

(h) regulation 32ZC(1)(b) (invitations to apply for registration)(8).

(3) In the following provisions, for “Chancellor of the Duchy” substitute “Minister for the Cabinet Office”—

(a) regulation 29ZA(1);

(b) regulation 29ZB(8)(9).
