Meaning of “European site”U.K.

27.—(1) In these Regulations a “European site” means any of the following located in the United Kingdom—
(a)a special area of conservation;
(b)a site of Community importance which has been placed on the list referred to in the third sub-paragraph of Article 4(2) of the Habitats Directive [before exit day];

(d)a site classified [before exit day] as a special protection area pursuant to Article 4(1) or (2) of the Wild Birds Directive [or classified after exit day under the retained transposing legislation]; and

(i)the site is designated as a special area of conservation under regulation 7; or
(ii)the relevant administration gives notice to the appropriate nature conservation body of its intention not to designate the site, setting out the reasons for its decision, in accordance with regulation 86A(3)(b).]
