The Financial Guidance and Claims Act 2018 (Commencement No. 2) Regulations 2018

The Treasury make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 37(5) and (9)(b)(i) of the Financial Guidance and Claims Act 20181:

Citation1

These Regulations may be cited as the Financial Guidance and Claims Act 2018 (Commencement No. 2) Regulations 2018.

Appointed Days2

The day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Financial Guidance and Claims Act 2018 is—

a

1st October 2018 for section 14 (levy under FSMA 2000 for debt advice expenses of devolved authorities); and

b

1st January 2019 for section 20 (FCA general rules: information about the availability of guidance).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

Regulation 2 of these Regulations commences section 14 of the Financial Guidance and Claims Act 2018 (c. 10) on 1st October 2018, and section 20 of that Act on 1st January 2019.
