The Secretary of State for Education makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Lambeth College (Designated Institution in Further Education) Order 2018 and comes into force on 31st January 2019.
2. Lambeth College(2), being an educational institution of the kind described in subsections (1) and (2) of section 28 of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992, is designated as an institution for the purposes of that section.

This Order designates the institution of Lambeth College from 31st January 2019, for the purposes of section 28 of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 (“the Act”). This designation brings the institution within the further education sector as defined in section 91(3) of the Act. An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on businesses and civil society organisations. The instrument has no impact on the public sector.
1992 c. 13; section 28(1) was amended by section 143(1)(a) of the Learning and Skills Act 2000 (c. 21) and section 28(2)(a) was amended by the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 (c. 31), Schedule 30, paragraph 38. Section 28(2)(b) was repealed by the Learning and Skills Act 2000, section 143(1)(b), section 153 and Schedule 11. Section 28(2)(d) was inserted by the Learning and Skills Act 2000, section 143(1)(c).
Lambeth College, whose principal address is 45 Clapham Common South Side, London, SW4 9BL, is an institution conducted by a registered company with company number 11495376 and with the name South Bank Colleges.
