3. The Strategic Partnership Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and Canada, of the other part, signed at Brussels on 30th October 2016(1) is to be regarded as an EU Treaty as defined in section 1(2) of the European Communities Act 1972(2).

Section 1(2) was amended by: section 3(1) and (3) of, and Part 1 of the Schedule to, the European Union (Amendment) Act 2008; section 15(2) of the European Union Act 2011 (c. 12); section 3 of the European Union (Croatian Accession and Irish Protocol) Act 2013 (c. 5); and section 1(2) of the European Union (Finance) Act 2015 (c. 32). There are other amending instruments but none are relevant.
