Extension of powers to the Serious Fraud Office: definition of “appropriate officer”

24.  In article 55 (other interpretation)—

(a) in the definition of “appropriate officer”—

(i) in paragraph (b), omit “or”; and

(ii) after paragraph (b), insert—

“(ba)

an SFO officer; or”;

(b) after the definition of “relevant seizure power”, insert—

““SFO officer” means a member of staff of the Serious Fraud Office.”.
