Amendment of the Merchant Shipping (Vessel Traffic Monitoring and Reporting Requirements) Regulations 2004I120

The Merchant Shipping (Vessel Traffic Monitoring and Reporting Requirements) Regulations 2004 M1 are amended as follows.

In regulation 2(1) (interpretation)—
a
for the definition of “domestic voyage” substitute—
“domestic voyage” means a voyage from a port in the United Kingdom to the same or another port in the United Kingdom;
b
for the definition of “port authority” substitute—
“port authority” in relation a member State means a port authority within the meaning of the Directive and in relation to the United Kingdom means a statutory harbour authority within the meaning of the 1995 Act, and “authority” in relation to a port shall be construed accordingly;

In regulation 3(b) (competent authority) omit “other than the United Kingdom”.
