The Merchant Shipping (Radio Installations) Regulations 1998 are amended as follows.

In regulation 5 (equivalents and exemptions) in paragraph (2), omit “other”.

In regulation 21 for the definition of “member State” substitute—
“member State” has the meaning given by Schedule 1 to the Interpretation Act 1978;
