The Representation of the People (Northern Ireland) (Amendment) Regulations 2018

Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(2)
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 9B(1A)1 and 53(1)(b)(i) and (3)2 of, and paragraph 5(1B) of Schedule 23 to, the Representation of the People Act 19834, makes the following Regulations.
In accordance with section 7(1) and (2)(e) of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 20005 the Secretary of State has consulted the Electoral Commission before making these Regulations.
In accordance with section 201(2) of the Representation of the People Act 19836, a draft of these Regulations has been laid before and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.
