6.—(1) The minimum hours of rest are—
(a)10 hours in any 24-hour period; and
(b)77 hours in any 7-day period.
(2) The 10 hours of rest mentioned in paragraph (1)(a) may be divided into no more than 2 periods, one of which is to be at least 6 hours in length.
(3) This regulation is subject to regulation 7.
