12. The Treasury approval requirement under section 78(10) (further analysis by Government Chemist) of the Agriculture Act 1970(1) ceases to apply in so far as the function under that provision is exercised by the Welsh Ministers.
1970 c. 40; subsection (10) was amended by S.I. 1970/1537. The functions of the Secretary of State, so far as they are exercisable in relation to Wales, were transferred to National Assembly for Wales by article 2 of, and Schedule 1 to, the 1999 Order and are now exercisable by the Welsh Ministers by virtue of paragraph 30 of Schedule 11 to the Government of Wales Act 2006.
