29. The functions of the Secretary of State under the Deer Act 1991 M1, so far as they are exercisable in relation to Wales and so far as they have not already been transferred, are transferred to the Welsh Ministers.

The functions of the Secretary of State under sections 2 and 7, so far as they are exercisable in relation to Wales (but in the case of section 7(5)(b), only the function of the Secretary of State as “agriculture Minister”), were transferred to the National Assembly for Wales by article 2 of, and Schedule 1 to, the 1999 Order and are now exercisable by the Welsh Ministers by virtue of paragraph 30 of Schedule 11 to the Government of Wales Act 2006.
