Requirement to provide information about reasonable estimates30

This regulation applies if a UK producer provides any information to the Secretary of State under or in accordance with these Regulations in the form, or on the basis, of a reasonable estimate.

Where this regulation applies, the Secretary of State may by request in writing require the producer to provide the following information to the Secretary of State—
a
the reasons for which the producer provided the original information in the form, or on the basis, of a reasonable estimate, rather than an actual amount, and
b
the method used by the producer to calculate the reasonable estimate.

A UK producer who is given a request under paragraph (2) must comply with the request within the period of seven days beginning with the day on which the producer is given the request.
