Citation, commencement and interpretation1

These Regulations may be cited as the Trade Marks Regulations 2018 and come into force on 14th January 2019.

In these Regulations—

  • “the 1994 Act” means the Trade Marks Act 1994;

  • “the CTM Regulations” means the Community Trade Mark Regulations 2006 M1;

  • “the International Registration Order” means the Trade Marks (International Registration) Order 2008 M2;

  • “the Rules” means the Trade Marks Rules 2008 M3.
