X1This statutory instrument was made under a procedure whereby it ceases to have effect at the end of the period of 28 days beginning with the day on which it was made unless, during that period, the instrument was approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament. It was not approved by Parliament within that period and so has ceased to have effect.
4.—(1) The Food and Farming (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 M1 are amended as follows.
(2) Omit regulation 3.
(3) In regulation 4—
(a)in paragraph (3), in the inserted Article 1a—
(i)in the definition of “the appropriate authority”, for point (b) substitute—
“(b)in relation to Northern Ireland:
(i)in Article 4 and paragraphs 3 and 5(c) of Annex 1 D, the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs;
(ii)in any other case, the Department of Health;”;
(ii)in the definition of “relevant legislation”, in point (b), for “Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs” substitute “ Department of Health ”;
(b)for paragraph (14) substitute—
“(14) Omit Article 12a.”.
(4) Omit regulation 6(7)(c)(ii).
(5) In regulation 7(2), in the inserted Article 1a, for “Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs” substitute “ Department of Health ”
(a)in the definition of “the appropriate authority”, in point (b);
