2.—(1) The Carriage by Air Act 1961(1) is amended as follows.
(2) In section 1(2) (Convention to have force of law), for “Community air carriers” substitute “UK air carriers”.
(3) In section 14(2) (interpretation)—
(a)omit the definition of “Community air carrier” (including the “and” at the end of it);
(b)at the end of the definition of “court”, insert—
“; and
“UK air carrier” has the meaning given by Article 2 of the Council Regulation”.
1961 c. 27. Sections 1 and 14(2) were substituted by S.I. 2002/263 and section 14(2) was subsequently amended by S.I. 2004/1418; there are other amending instruments but none is relevant.
