Regulation 3(1) (interpretation) is amended as follows.

In the definition of “Article 89 GDPR purposes”, for “the GDPR” substitute “ the UK GDPR ”.

Omit the definition of “the GDPR”.

At the appropriate place insert—

“the UK GDPR” has the meaning given in section 3(10) of the Data Protection Act 2018;
