Section 89 is amended as follows.

In subsection (1)—

a

in the definition of “the applicable Community rules”M1, for the words from “means” to the end substitute “ has the meaning given by section 103(1) of the Transport Act 1968 ”;

b

in the definition of “contracting third country”M2—

i

omit “third”;

ii

omit “other than a member State”;

iii

omit paragraph (b) (and the “or” before it).
