EXITING THE EUROPEAN UNION

PUBLIC PROCUREMENT

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under paragraphs (a), (b), (d), (e), (f) and (g) of section 8(2)) arising from the withdrawal of the UK from the European Union.

PART 1GENERAL

Citation, commencement and transitional and saving provision1

These Regulations may be cited as the Public Procurement (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019.

Except for regulations 6, 8, and 10, these Regulations come into force on exit day.

Regulations 6, 8 and 10 come into force eight months after the day on which exit day falls.

The amendments and modifications made by these Regulations are subject to the transitional and saving provision made by the Schedule.
